Ritchie's puffs: Really Rich Puffs: Hong Lim Food Centre 3 of 7

You can tell from the delicate handiwork that these curry puffs are handmade and they are really quite big for $1.20 each.



I would say they are good curry puffs, but I found them a little too rich for my stomach. The crust is crispy but a tad oily and the filling is nice and savoury but they use quite a bit of coconut milk in it so you get jerlak (indigestion) very quickly. If I were 20 years younger and not having to worry about my indigestion and cholesterol problem, this would have been a real yummy treat.

Conclusion

One of the better curry puffs around but a tad too rich for me. 3.75/5

    the curry filling is good, but I actually prefer the one with yam paste filling...

    Last week, i buy curry puffs from 3 differents store, 1 store from Oishii, 1 store from 1A, and 1 store from this. And Tanglin Crispy Curry Puffs is very good, One of the best.

    tried the chicken potato curry puff..the fillings were gd..but i thot the pastry was too oily...it left an oil aftertaste on the tongue after every mouth..

    Maxwell Market's curry puff was much better i feel..

    i think Oishii is no longer at upper cross street in chinatown. anybody know where is it now? prefer theirs. alot of fillings inside. very spicy though..

    i suppose that place could be unsuitable for their business? hope they make a come-back at a better place. their curry puffs are good & almost bursting with fillings!

    ya, i believe tat place is really not very suitable for their business.. have tried their curry puffs, just nice for me.. =)
