Rojak: Freshly Fried You Tiao Rojak!
With iwatch_ueat and SCS Butter
Imagine freshly fried You Char Kway made into rojak! That would be something wouldn't it? It would be especially special for those of us who really enjoy just You Char Kway rojak without all the other vegetables and fruits. When smart alerted me to this particular stall in Macpherson, I simply had to find out if freshly fried You Char Kway is better than toasted You Char Kway when it is tossed into rojak.
This is a sleepy little stall in a sleepy part of Singapore especially in the afternoons. So the lady needed to fire up the oil in order to make some You Char Kway for us. Amazingly the You Char Kway is still 30 cents each here and a plate of rojak just $2.
The You Char Kway was super crispy and warm but unfortunately the Prawn Paste and Ground Peanuts were not quite up to expectations. A good plate of rojak which really could have been great. 3.75/5
Conclusion
Try it for the novelty of having freshly fried You Char Kway rojak that is really cheap. However, I am still undecided if freshly fried You Char Kway really makes a better rojak than toasted You Char Kway. The only way to find out is to find another stall somewhere that does the same thing but with a sauce with more kick!

Thanks for that clarification. Have changed the address on the blog
If you want your yu char kway very crispy then this is the stall. Their price very cheap for today's standard. Unfortunately the hay khor n peanut not too shiok.
they started out wif just selling e you char kways, butterfly buns n ham chiem pengs. then few years ago, (maybe more than 5?) they started selling rojak. i've never find their rojaks nice at all.. although their you char kways, butterfly buns n ham chiem pengs r pretty nice n fresh.. =)
oh ya.. still e same old price!! =)
Speaking of rojak...:) does anyone know where the rojak stall which used to be at the corner coffee shop at Queenstown MRT moved too? one of the better ones around..the uncle has a certain style stirring all the ingredients :)
Khim, I think they were selling the rojak more than 5 yrs. Yes they started with the you char kuey n haem chee beng. Lately they have banana balls. Tried them very good got more banana in it.By the way is the pig organ soup there good?
uncle smart, ya.. from my impression, think they sold rojak for more then 5 years liao..
oh banana balls should be interesting, i'll go n try it!
there used to be a store (dua bug - "big eyes") selling pig organ soup, seafood soup n (kway chap, i think) which i think it's good.. but my mum told me they moved somewhere else already.. should be somewhere close but not tat food centre anymore.. so in my opinion, no fantastic pig organ soup there liao..
if leslie likes e starchy eggs from orh luak, he can actually try e store just beside e cheng tng store.. but e store seldom open, so have to really try ur luck..
he's actually my distant relative but can't he seldom open, so i seldom get to eat it often!! =p

khim, frankly speaking, they've been selling rojak for more than 10yrs cox i've been patronising them since young :))
other than banana balls, they oso sell some other stuffs on random basis

hey anonymous,
i'm confirmed sure tat they are selling more than tat cos i've been living in front of e hawker centre all my life.. it's definitely more than 20 years, i can say!! cos i used to visit them when i was so young n played wif e doughs!! ;)
(i'm really a terror in tat hawker centre when i was young!! wahahah.. mum used to sell satay there when i was young) now i seldom go there becos of my working schedule too..
