Beancurd City: The Family Saga continues
With iwatch_ueat and SCS Butter
This is part 3 of the Rochor Bean Curd saga. In our previous episode, we found out that David, the youngest of the four brothers decided to branch out on his own and subsequently opened a branch right next to the original Rochor Bean Curd stall in Short Street. After being there for a few months, he shifted out of the stall which was subsequently taken over by the sister. So what happened? What are the juicy details of this family feud? Well, my way of cutting a long story short is to paste a link to this story by Teo Pau Lin who has already penned it all down.
Anyway, its not about the feud but the food. And I was pleasantly surprised with the bean curd here. It was excellent. The texture was soft and silky but I felt that it still manages to retain the taste of the beans rather then tasting as if it was too watered down. It was a very enjoyable bowl of bean curd. 4.5/5
Conclusion
Probably as good as bean curd gets in Singapore.

So happy that someone finally shares my love for the beancurd made by this brother! My frens r ardent supporters of the original Rochor Bean curd store and were quite incensed that he jus happily open shop and hv direct competition wiv his brother. But I prefer his to the original one as the texture is smoother and softer.
yeah i prefer the original one in geylang lor 39. =)
They have one more store near the Nasi Lemak store at Yishun... just near the camp... I wonder if they are the same store!
Yes, that's another branch.
Hi, I love beancurd as well and my mom buys beancurd from this place at Serangoon Central (near the bus interchange). Its called NB Snacks. The beancurd is excellent as well as the soya bean milk.
Beancurd city is my absolute favourite! I feel it's wayyyy better than Rochor beancurd =) I totally love their ultra smooth and silky beancurd. I usually visit the one along Jalan Besar.
When they opened beside Rochor beancurd at short street last time, I went a few times and wondered if the people eating at Rochor beancurd knew what they were missing.
Wow, saying all these made me crave for Beancurd city now!!
I have tried both the stall and found it quite nice.Try Mr.Bean early morning the some of the first batch it,s really very soft, smooth and the taste of the soy bean is very favourable.Later morning after stock for a time not the same.
