Galicier Confectionery: Oh Ondeh Ondeh!
With smart, iwatch_ueat and damien
This is my first visit to this Confectionery and I felt like I was a kid again at a toy store. Almost everything here is so delectable that I felt I wanted to buy the whole shop!
First up was the Kueh Dah Dah which Damien highly recommended. The big difference here is that the coconut filling here is white in colour instead of the usual brown. Each mouthful was a burst of juicy coconutty goodness. Very different from your usual Kueh Dah Dah. 4.25/5
The sweet tapioca kueh was fantastic and probably the best I have eaten. The sugar they use somehow has an uplifting zest to it that makes it different from a lot of others. If you like tapioca kueh, this one you must try. 4.5/5
Ondeh Ondeh 60 cents each
The Ondeh Ondeh here is is also exceptionally good. The skin is made from sweet potato and is super soft and chewy. Careful when you bite into it, because the gula melaka is bound to drip down your chin! Beautiful, wonderful, gula-full. 4.5/5
Ladies Fingers $1 each
I don't think I would like to meet the lady whom they modeled this confectionery after. Judging from its size, shw would have to be a giant with hair on the chest! Calling them ladies' finger might be a misnomer, but they were excellent. Supersoft but chewy dough with a thin layer of peanut butter on the inside, they go very well with that cup of Teh Tarik! 4.25/5
Conclusion
Make sure you set aside a budget when you step into this stall because you too will be tempted to buy up the whole shop!

ooooo....must try....
sometimes their ondeh ondeh is green instead of orange. i love the other tapioca cake that's lightly pan friend. :) yum.
Is this a cafe such that you can sit inside and have your meal?
There's a branch at Serangoon Central. There donuts are traditional and great as well... unlike those you have to Q an hour for.
their strawberry and mango cake @ the Serangoon Branch is yummylicious too~!
Looks good any idea if this place is near tiong barhu plaza?
Hi Joyceyn,
Yup, it's near Tiong Bahru Plaza opposite the Boutique Hotel @ Tiong Bahru.
Is this a cafe such that you can sit inside and have your meal?
Another must trey is the ONGUL ONGUL, which is like Kueh Ko Swee, their pineapple tarts and their pumpkin cake. Agree....must set aside budget when visiting them!
Yup, we bought their pumpkin cake and forgot to add that their yam cake also must try.
We did sample their ongul ongul and many other kuehs too but apparently, we were too engrossed to remember their names.
JY: There is only a table at this shop at Tiong Bahru, thus, maybe it's at their Serangoon branch where you could dine in.
Oh okies thanks! So is that table for customers to dine in?
Definitely...
Thank you damien! Will check it out
Yup..! thanks damien..! this is gonna be on my "to eat list" .. ;0
Something for everyone's info. i went by the shop this morning at 10am. bought 20 oneh oneh. all of them were cold (suspected they were refrigerator overnight). The gula melaka was solidied. What was strange is that the boss told me that i had to open up the box when i reach home to air it. It was a major disappointment. Readers may like to choose a better timing to visit.
For everyone's info. I went by the shop this morning at 10am too. The lady there told me that the ondeh-ondeh and most of all the other kuehs are catered for the tea-time crowd. If you want anything fresh then it would be wiser to drop by after 12noon. In the end I only bought the Ladies' Fingers. It kinda reminded me of kueh bangkit.
the branch at serangoon central (along serangoon ave 3, opposite Macs) doesn't allow you to dine in. No table but plenty of aunties
dun like the oneh oneh...the gula melaka not fully melted n when you eat, you are like eating sugar...the one at amony st hawker center, still the best!
I love the gueh dada and i bought a bottle of pineapple tarts before also. But i must say the attitude of the guy owner kinda puts me off..
haha went tiong baru outlet today...
the auntie is so nice and friendly..
i even saw tis small A4 picture of ur blogpage featuring their food :)
Thanks for letting me know! Appreciate that. Was the food good though?
The kueh's I bought tasted pretty average to be honest but what totally ruined it for me was the attitude of the uncle.Absolutly terrible.
I like the sweet potato fa kueh and the steamed cake (with brown coconut fillings). The kuehs are quite good, but I will only buy when I see the auntie. Enough attitude from the uncle already! Will be trying ondeh ondeh soon... since it is one of your recommendation

Note that there is another branch located at:
Block 253 Serangoon Central Drive
Next to NTUC Fairprice.
Not sure if there is any Nyonya Kueh there. But it is worth the try. Do note that the pineapple tarts are purely Nyonya and you should deserve a try. Seasons Greetings!
