Happy Valentine's Day!
I still remember when my Amagada and I were still dating more than 20 years ago. We had the heart shaped pizza at Milano's. That was real treat back then. I think it cost like $16 for the heart shaped pizza and came with drinks as well. Pretty romantic for JC students who don't really have much pocket money to spare. Too bad Milano's is no longer around. I wouldn't mind having a heart shaped pizza just for the sake of nostalgia.
So what is your most memorable Valentine's Day dinner?

i believe they do have a heart shape pizza at pizzahut..
dunno abt the standard though :)
my most memorable valentines day dinner - wonton mee at the old hill street market, with a guy whose love for me had faded. So had a really meaningless and sad dinner, and its suppose to cover both valentines day and my birthday which is the next day. damn lolz.
my most memorable V day was last year.. becos i fractured my toe and spent my V day and chinese new year in a cast and at home..
20 years ago in JC - you're still looking great in your late thirties :)
$16 twenty years ago is a large sum of money! I can't remember any good Valentine's Day dinners but my first date in JC was with an SJI boy at Swensons. He ordered the earthquake! eat until pui pui.
Husband know about this SJI boy or not? Got him to thank if you still pui pui! :)
My most memorable one will be the one i'll be having tonight i believe... the first time a guy has planned anything on valentine's for me... *warm fuzzies*
I've got 2 memorable ones...both with the same person...One was Sky-dining on the cable car...I think I wasted the package cos I started to feel nausea after awhile..couldn't even stomach the food...The other was on Mount Faber with a platter of sushi and a bouquet of flowers. The ambience was great! That was also the day when he popped the question! Ah...those were the days mann...
Most memorable but not on valentine day is when I book the whole toy museaum (MINT) and celebrated happi mummi b'day last nov....

i digress..
Hey sumosumo, you married or have girlfriend?
Juz had my most lo-man-tik valentine's dinner..
We had a picnic near padang. He prepared dinner.
starter- pan-fried chicken breast salad with feta cheese. (the most tender chicken breast i had ever tasted)
Main Course- Penne with beef bolognaise (sauce was filled with chunky minced beef)
The thought of him planning the menu, shopping for the ingredients, getting his hands dirty... Juz touched my heart... sure beat all the fine dining in posh restaurants... :)
i miss miss miss milano pizza! good quality pizzas at reasonable prices ($8 i think). those were the days when i could finish an entire $7 pizza without gaining any weight, unlike now :(
oh, like sumosumo, i don't believe in V-day!
leslie - i m married. but i treat my wife special on special occassions and on days i feel i love her more... not on a commercially specified date. and yes, i bought her a rock when i proposed.
valentine's day as we know it today, is an american invention. thats why its also known as hallmark day. google it.
just like Christmas, the jolly red fat Santa imagery we associate with santa is an american invention - a product of Coca Cola's marketing campaigns. and xmas trees with xmas decorations are invented by the New Yorkers, where they used to buy glass trinkets imported from Germany to decorate their fir trees.
St Nicholas was actually a catholic bishop from Turkey who was known for being very kind to children. In russia, santa claus is dressed in blue, and he has no rein deers (another invention of the americans) but female elf helpers.
oops... i digress again..
Sumosumo well said
I had my valentine's day dinner with my boyfriend overseas over the webcam. We had KFC as that was the only thing we can get in our countries together. It was a great dinner!
Hui
And in addition to Sumosumo comments;
The cliche "A diamond is forever" is started by DeBeers :p
