Hong Kee Beef Noodle Amoy Street Food Centre Part 1 of 5
Yet another famous Beef Noodle Place! This hawker has been selling beef noodles for 48 years since his father's time. They are so established they have a newspaper clipping from 23 years ago! The original stall was at Kock Street which then moved to Cuppage Centre. For the readers who still remember the Beef Kway Teow at Cuppage Centre and wondering where they move to, now you know!
I liked the dry version at this place. The gravy is excellent and the beef succulent. The beef balls are unfortunately bought from a supplier, so it tastes quite generic. Otherwise, quite a satisfying bowl of dry Beef Kway Teow. 4/5

Whenever I'm back in Singapore, I never fail to go back to this store for a bowl of beef noodles that hits the spot everytime. I can eat it everyday until I leave.
The combination of the tasty gravy that's isn't too watery or too thick, the firmness of the thick beehoon, the tender beef, the fragant parsley and the crunchy texture of the other toppings just make for a very satisfying bowl of dry beef noodles.
2 thumbs up for my favourite beef noodle store!
went to amoy street fc & tabao..
e soup is very cheng, different from hock lam's.. not too bad..
i ordered e sliced beef & tripe. wow, e tripe is very nice!! crunchy & chewy, very addictive! =)
but e sliced beef is very hard. it could be due to tabao & walking back to office takes abt 10 mins or so..
din really take e chilli as it's quite sour (vinegar?) i still prefer hock lam's chilli though..
next time i'll ask e auntie not to cook my beef, so tat when i reach office, it's just nice!
there's so much food tat i can eat at amoy.. hehe.. guess next time i can go there besides hong lim.. =)
