Old Signboard Fish Porridge Bukit Timah Food Centre Part 3 of 5
If you are in the Bukit Timah Food Centre and feeling guilty about all the lardy, artery clogging stuff that you have eaten the night before, then have no fear! There's a pretty decent fish soup stall in the food centre where you can make your confession and receive a pardon.
The stall makes it very clear that they have been around since 1966 and that's a good thing. They serve both Batang and the more expensive Red Grouper. My wife who is the fish soup afficianado said the fish soup was really good and the fish was fresh. I felt it was a decent bowl of fish soup and better than most. 4/5

It would be nice if you could hyperlink your banner to your website. There's nowhere to click to go to the main site when I'm reading specific articles.
Thanks for your suggestion
Any idea what the html code is?
hi im a regular bukit timah market goer and i enjoy the delicious fare they provide there. i've been posting anonymously for a good period of time and i will say again that i enjoy what you are doing =)
ok, IMO, i feel that the fish porridge is a little overrated because they really provide very little fish. i have always chosen a stall on the other end of the hawker centre that sells fish soup over the one you did a review on because i cannot really taste a difference between the quality of the fishes from either stall, yet, the stall on the other end provides more fish, and other ingredients like tofu etc. the soup base is also more tasty. i hope that you will try that on your next trip there =).
also, the fish porridge stall is to the left when u walk up the main stairs.. and not to the right. the fish soup stall i am recommending you is to the right and it is pretty near the wanton noodle stall. cheers.

Tks for the recommendation. I tried the fish soup before and imo, it's good but they give very little fish.
I like the kway chap there. It always sold out before lunch time. The coffee there is also very nice, there's always a very long queue
I cannot stand their attitude and rudeness. Plus their soup is nothing that great to endure that kind of abuse.
The younger server likes to say unnecessary rude remarks to their customers. Obnoxious.
I have to agree with southernoise. I went to try their food. The fish is not bad and quite fresh, but the soup is nothing to shout about...
The men there are quite lecherous.
I forgot I had no more money in my wallet and had to run off to find an ATM. When I came back, one of the guys said, "Aiya..tell me mah.. I treat you eat la.." Uh, thanks but no thanks.
hmmm, glad they were not lecherous to me. Guess I am not as pretty as you are heheheheh. But there has been several aunties......
