Western BBQ Unique Garlic Sauce Old Airport Road Food Centre Part 8 of 9

It was a Saturday night and I was yearning for some western food. So we drove past Astons at about 8pm and found that there was a long queue of people waiting outside. Aiyah!! Where else can I get some cheap and good Western Food? Fortunately, I remembered someone mentioning the Western food stall over at Old Airport Road Food Centre.

We tried the pork chops and the chicken chops. The chicken chop is without a doubt, the star of the show. The other star is the red coloured Garlic Sauce that they serve. It's a little sweet and tastes like the sauce from the Baked Beans but mixed with fried Garlic. It went well with the chicken thigh fillet which was nicely seasoned and very tender. 4/5

The pork chop on the other hand was too heavily beaten to a pulp such that the meat fibres were almost like mince. The texture was more like the sausage from a McMuffin. The taste was alright though. 3.5/5

Went to this stall for lunch today after seeing those droolsome pics and I must say it was well worth the effort getting there!

Chicken chop is tender and moist. Fries are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

Only downside is that i find the food a tad oily.

Nevertheless will definitely go back for more! :)

I had tried their chicken cutlet with garlic sauce (special request if u crave for the garlic sauce cos the garlic sauce is only meant for its pork chop dish) and its a perfect match! must try! The chicken meat used are thigh meat and it's definitely, tender and juicy! if you are a meat lover, try their mix grill (consists of lamb chop, chicken chop and pork chop)! absolutely fabulous!!!!!!

They have another branch in Chomp Chomp food centre.

I gotta say this is the best hawker centre western food I've ever ate. Don't miss out on the good stuff, Order the mix grill. Its worth every cent you pay for. The serving is generous and the auntie at old airport road serves with a smile. Ask for extra sauce as its very addictive.

I've tried the NTU ones. Frankly speaking, it doesn't taste as good nor is it cheaper. I ordered a mix grill and although it cost I think $5($2 lesser than OAPR), but I get 1 piece less meat too. Well, a dollar for dollar's worth. :)
