Mr Teh Tarik: I wonder what the tarik does to the tea?
I wonder if Tariking the Teh actually makes a difference to the taste itself. Apart from cooling it down, and making the foam on top, does the extra air in the tea actually change its taste? Has anyone tried comparing a cup of tea before and after the Tarik? Do let us know.
Mr Teh Tarik demonstrating the triple tarik
This Teh Tarik certainly fulfills my criteria for a good Teh Tarik. It's smooth and creamy, the taste of the tea taste is strong enough and oooh it flows down the throat so smoothly! It's no wonder that there is a perpetual queue outside the stall. 4.5/5

I love their ice limau tea :)
hello mr tay! i was scrolling through your amoy street finds and i notice you DIDN'T REVIEW THE MUFFINS ON LEVEL TWO!!! which is a travesty!!! the shop is called bake_of and you HAVE to try them and tell everyone to eat them too. $1 a muffin, they're huge. :)))
and there's good teh ping downstairs. i cant remember what the stall is called, i think it's the indian muslim one opposite the xiang gang jie zhen zi.

can try the double boil soup/many other things stall also. seems like the fish soup is very popular.
I love the teh tarik there! It has the tea taste and is sweet enough to give you the sugar rush.
Nice photo of the tek tarik man with the stream of tea! I love the taste of this dish. It could be the motion injects a greater degree of froth in the taste compared to less acrobatically challenging methods?
ahh... this place has the best teh tarik/teh ping i've tried. beats most hawker centre drink stalls hands down.
I love the teh / kopi there. I would either order a Teh Halia or a KopiC. The drinks have enough "taste", not too strong/diluted. It's always a good after-lunch drink. bliss!
But they have moved into a permanent stall. still at the same area, just beside the Ramen outlet.
lynie, would you tell me where they moved to? i wouldnt find it..
karen
karen, i think e place is rather near to planet fitness.. u can walk towards e direction of planet fitness n u can find it
They are still at the same place..just that they are moved into a permanent stall instead of the push cart. It's just next to the ramen stall..at far east square. i think it's called Mr. Teh Tarik Cartel now. i hope you're able to find it..there will be long queues during lunch time..so it's easy to spot.
Tea tarik tastes different because the protein degradation of the milk changes through the pulling process. Hot milk and hot tea does not get this degradation, nor does stirring in cold milk - it is not your imagination. Trust me, I'm a scientist
Ah at last a scientific explanation! Could you please explain a little more about the protein degradation process when milk is tumbled?
At any rate, our kakis did not manage to taste the difference when we conducted a trial. See the post:
