Ieat End of the Year Makan Session: Siang Hee Restaurant

Many thanks to Damien and Champagne for organizing our end of the year Makan Session!

Thanks for everyone for turning up and making the Makan Session a great success.

For me the best dishes of the evening has to be the Ter Kah, Pumpkin Prawns and the surprisingly shiok hotplate Oyster Omelette. I think everyone would have to admit that $18 for a 10 course meal is just about as cheap as it could get considering we had so much seafood and the portions were all so big.

A great thank you to all who attended the makan session.

I sincerely hope everyone enjoyed the food and went home with a fully tummy :)

There was a slight mis-communication between the initial order of marmite pork instead of coffee pork ribs. Kindly accept my humble apologies for that blooper :)

Hopefully however, this will give you all another reason to go back Siang Hee :)

This small, humble and hardworking establishment deserves all the support it can get.

Thanks again to Damien and Champagne for the hard work in organising this ieat end of the year makan session. The response was so overwhelming with 80 persons occupying 8 tables. Passers-by must have thought that it was a wedding dinner (with Damien rehearsing to be the bridegroom) :P

We really enjoyed the food at Siang Hee as well as the great company. At $18/pax for 10 dishes, this has to be our most value-for-money makan session of the year. Agreed with ieat that the best dishes for the night were the Crispy Ter Kah, Pumpkin Prawns and Oyster Omelette. The Fried Soft Shell Crabs were pretty good too.

ieat - Nice series of photos!

The food on that day was yummylicious, soft-shell crab, oyster egg & pumpkin prawns.

My only disappointment - didn't get to talk to the other makan khakis present there!!!!....

Its ok, i will try to mingle around the next time....:)

A job well done!

Cows in Japan drink wine and beer. Here in S'pore, they apparently eat pork too. Hehehe.

Thanks to Damien and Alice for putting this dinner together at an economical $18 for 10 courses!! Great meeting VVV, Highlander, iJeff and company at the table. :)
