Parklane Abalone Bak Chor Mee: Sim Lim Food Centre Part 2 of 3

With PK, yummiedummies, smart, liverpool, iwatch_ueat and tamago

Some people have recommended this Bak Chor Mee, so I have included it into this series. What makes it a bit special is the piece of Abalone that is thrown in. That's about it. The noodles were good but not exceptional. Some of our makankakis even commented that they managed to smell the alkaline in the noodles. Better than your run of the mill Bak Chor Mee and definitely can eat if you are craving for Bak Chor Mee while shopping for your computer peripherals. 3.5/5

Conclusion

One of the more famous ones around. I felt it could be better but perhaps you disagree?

I find that they use too much black vinegar for the dry version which I dislike.

Have you tried the Pakistani stall - selling naans etc but I like their brani...

Tried this bak chor mee lately upon seeing the queue and the articles pasted at the storefront, but I was really kinda disappointed! It's quite bland... everything from the seasoning to the soup, no kick at all! Definitely can find much better ones around...

This used to be one of my favourite stall. The last time I ate at this place was middle of last year ~ totally a let down! The noodles didn't have that 'springy' bite, the taste was 'different'. So, they're out of my fave list.

defintely VERY ordinary! whats so fanastic about them? I still dont understand. I tried 2-3x because I thought it might be a bad day that the standard is low. However, i already concluded that the standard is always so low! its just luck i guess! Bendemeer market has better dishes!

Tried this stall last week, really disappointing...I think the stall at Fortune centre or Newton FC is better than this one

It used to taste good but now I do feel it is such letdown.

saw a cockroach at their stall and yet they were pushing the blame to other stall owners. haha.

the operating hours are incorrect. Operates from 11am till around 8.30-8.45pm. The stalls in the food court basically start packing everything at about 8.30pm.
